Mrs. Lindsey Lawson, Principal

I am incredibly honored and excited to share that I will be serving as the new Principal of Jefferson Elementary School!

I have spent the past 20 years in education, most recently as Assistant Principal at Harold C. Johnson Elementary, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting students, staff, and families in creating a positive and engaging learning environment. I am passionate about building strong relationships, fostering a culture of growth, and ensuring every student feels valued and successful.

Outside of school, my greatest joy is my family. I am grateful for their constant support, and I enjoy spending time with my husband and my son, Leland, who will be turning 2. We love going on adventures as a family! As an avid sports family, we may not always cheer for the same teams, but we truly value the time we spend together supporting the games we love.

I look forward to partnering with this amazing school community as we learn, grow, and achieve great things together!

Mrs. Vanessa Hefley, Assistant Principal

I have always known I wanted to be a teacher. Being around children has always brought me joy, and I can’t remember a time when this wasn’t my dream. Educating is not just a career for me—it’s something I’ve always felt called to do.

Outside of school, I enjoy time with my husband and two children.  We love cheering on the Clemson Tigers, traveling, and just spending time at home.

Fun Fact: I can juggle, but not more than three objects at time!
